Dr. Chang speaks English and Cantonese

Dr. Chang graduated from the University of Alberta and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1988. He practiced dentistry in Calgary for 22 years prior to moving Red Deer in 2011. With 30 years of comprehensive experience in dentistry, Dr. Chang has been taking care of his patient at Image Dental Care with his special training in orthodontics, sedation, and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Chang strives for excellence in all aspects of his career, with passion in dentistry along with extensive continuing education in implants, orthodontics, complicated procedures, sedation, and more. Dr. Chang always learns from the best in the industry.

Dr. Chang believes in giving back by going on dental missions to third world countries. Most recently he participated in a three-week dental mission trip to Bhutan with a group of dentists.

Dr. Chang is married with two kids. He enjoys running, hiking and watching movies in his spare time with his family.

Dr. Trca has been practicing at Image Dental Care since July 2022. She grew up in central Alberta and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Health Science from Mount Royal University in 2018. She then went on to receive her DDS degree from the University of Alberta in 2022, contributing much to the university by volunteering for various committees during her time there. Serving as the Vice President Internal of the Dental Students Association for two years and Co-Chair of Women’s Empowerment Lunch and Learn group for three years, Dr. Trca has demonstrated her commitment to bettering higher education.

In 2020, Dr. Trca married her high school sweetheart and delights in outdoor activities such as biking, kayaking, hiking, backpacking, quadding, and camping during the summer months. During wintertime she enjoys indulging in cozy reads around the fire or crafting with friends and family.

Dr. Rafaella Shammas has been practicing at Image Dental Care since December 2022. A graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy, Dr. Shammas prioritizes her patients’ needs, listens attentively to their concerns, and makes each visit as comfortable and efficient as possible.

Outside of work, Dr. Shammas loves capturing life's special moments through photography, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Golara Farhoomand, DDS, brings a blend of expertise, dedication, and a personal touch to her role at Image Dental Care. Joining the team in March 2024, Dr. Farhoomand's journey in dentistry began in 2022, after earning her dental degree from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.

Known for her friendly, motivated, and efficient demeanor, she is committed to delivering high-quality dental care. Her day-to-day tasks range from providing patient consultations and performing dental treatments to collaborating with specialists and managing administrative duties. Dr. Farhoomand’s treatment philosophy centers around understanding her patients' values and needs, aiming to deliver personalized treatments that align with their desired outcomes.

Dr. Farhoomand finds immense satisfaction in helping people improve their oral health and well-being. She appreciates the craftsmanship and skill involved in dentistry, and enjoys using her hands to create positive outcomes for her patients.

Outside the dental office, Dr. Farhoomand enjoys an array of hobbies including cooking, hiking, and painting. While she doesn't consider herself an artist, she loves browsing Pinterest for inspiration and challenging herself creatively.

At Image Dental Care, Dr. Farhoomand is dedicated to shaping the future of oral healthcare while providing a compassionate and skilled approach to every patient she serves.

Swita speaks English and Farsi.

Swita joined our team in July 2014 as our Dental Assistant. She has been in the field of dentistry for ten years now.

What Swita loves the most about her job is seeing patients smile. She believes that she's able to provide patients the highest quality dental care in a comfortable, relaxed, and friendly environment.

When not in the office, you'll find Swita reading, walking, or playing soccer games.

Sarah is one of our Dental Hygienists. She's been with our team since March 2014 and in the field of dentistry since 2012.

Sarah loves that they get to help people become healthier. She focuses on preventative dentistry and guides her patients to achieve their oral health goals.

When not in the office, Sarah spends time building furniture and making jewelry. She also loves snowboarding and being in her happy place, the great outdoors.

Carlee joined is one of our Dental Hygienists here at Image Dental. She joined our team in January 2019 and has been in the field of dentistry for three years now.

Carlee takes a holistic approach to treating her patients and stresses oral health as an important part of overall health.

Carlee enjoys her job as she loves caring for people. She strives to help her patients achieve a happy, healthy smile.

When away from work, Carlee spends time hiking, biking, running, doing yoga, and skiing.

Heather speaks English and Spanish.

Heather has been with Image Dental since June 2019 as our Dental Hygienist. She has been in the industry for six years.

She feels she helps patients best by providing an open and relaxed atmosphere whenever they have questions, concerns, or apprehensions about treatments. She enjoys connecting with people – seeing them smile and learning more about their culture.

When not in the office, Heather spends time backpacking as a traveler and camping outdoors. She also loves Latin dancing and cooking.

Meet Natasha, RDH at Image Dental Care.With over 15 years of experience in dental hygiene, Natasha brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to Image Dental Care. Joining our team in July 2023, she has been dedicated to the field since September 2008, always prioritizing patient comfort and care.

Natasha is known for her friendly, kind-hearted, and humorous approach, making her a favorite among patients. She is efficient and understanding, ensuring each visit is as pleasant and stress-free as possible. Natasha's expertise lies not only in her technical skills but in her ability to help patients overcome dental anxiety, turning what can be a daunting experience into a positive one.

At Image Dental Care, Natasha's day-to-day tasks revolve around a patient-oriented approach, utilizing the latest technology to meet individual needs effectively. She believes in staying up-to-date with the advancements in dental hygiene, continuously evolving her methods to provide the best care possible.

Outside of work, Natasha leads an active lifestyle. Whether she’s running, biking, hiking, or cross-country skiing, she is always on the move. But she also enjoys quieter moments, often found with a good book and a cup of tea. Currently, she's engrossed in the Rebecca Yarros series.

Jessica joined us in October 2014 as one of our Dental Assistants. She has been in the field of dentistry since 2006.

She loves being able to help patients regularly - by enhancing their smile or making their dental experience calmer and more comfortable.

Jessica believes that good dental health is crucial in achieving overall health, and she’s happy and grateful to be one with patients in their journey to a better smile.

When not in the office, Jessica loves spending fun times with her family. She also likes camping, going on RZR adventures, and swimming.

Ma Lee joined the team at Image Dental Care in December 2022, bringing with her over 15 years of experience in the dental care field. Since beginning her career in 2007, Ma has been known for her friendly demeanour, passionate approach to her work, and efficient handling of tasks. Ma is a true team player who is always understanding of both her colleagues' and patients' needs.

At Image Dental Care, Ma is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the sterilization, storage, and PAN areas. She assists hygienists with setting up and cleaning their operatories and supports other dental assistants when needed. Additionally, Ma manages the clinic's laundry, helps with deliveries, and performs chart audits for hygienists.

Ma finds great fulfillment in her role at Image Dental Care, particularly enjoying the opportunity to help others. Her dedication to patient care and her supportive nature make her an invaluable part of the clinic’s team.

Outside of work, Ma enjoys an array of activities, especially during the spring and summer months. She loves camping, biking, taking relaxing walks, picnicking, visiting various garage sales, and cleaning her yard. Recently, she has found joy in spending time with her young nephews. During the winter, Ma prefers staying indoors, where she enjoys cleaning, watching movies, and hanging out with friends or visiting her in-laws.

Jocelyn joined Image Dental Care in November 2022, bringing her friendly, motivated, and efficient nature to our team. As an administrative professional, she began her career in the dental field in 2022 and has quickly become an integral part of our office.

Day-to-day, Jocelyn is the welcoming face that greets patients as they arrive and assists them after their appointments. She handles patient bookings over the phone and collaborates seamlessly with all staff members to ensure that every patient leaves satisfied.

What Jocelyn loves most about her job is working with her amazing team and seeing the smiles on patients' faces when their needs are met.

Outside of work, Jocelyn enjoys spending quality time with her family. Her understanding and open-minded approach to life make her a cherished colleague and friend to many at Image Dental Care.

Corey joined the Image Dental Care team in December 2023, bringing a fresh and motivated energy to the office. With a background in dental administration, Corey quickly became an indispensable part of the team.Corey is friendly, passionate, and highly efficient. On any given day, you'll find Corey answering phone calls and emails, taking payments, booking appointments, processing insurance claims, and warmly greeting and checking in patients. Corey's open-minded and understanding nature ensures that every patient feels welcome and cared for from the moment they walk in.

One of Corey's favorite aspects of the job is working alongside amazing coworkers and having the opportunity to learn something new every day. This kind-hearted and team-oriented attitude creates a supportive and collaborative environment that benefits both staff and patients alike.

Outside of work, Corey enjoys spending quality time with family, attending yoga and spin classes, taking care of their dogs, and relaxing with a good show on Netflix. Amanda has been with our team since December 2016 as our Dental Administrator. She has been in the field of dentistry for four years.

She feels she helps patients best by maintaining a comfortable, relaxed, and friendly environment. She loves interacting with patients and learning more about them.

Amanda feels that making patients feel welcomed and getting closer with them make them more eager to come back.

When not assisting patients in the office, Amanda spends time with her husband and two daughters. She loves playing golf and working on anything wedding-related.

Seline is our Dental Administrator. She’s been with our team since 2018 and in the field of dentistry for five years now.

To Seline, patients always come first. She feels she helps them best with compassion, communication, and care. She loves working with the team and feels that patients ultimately become family as well.

When not in the office, Seline spends time with her family. She also reads novels and watches Korean dramas.
